Jerry Messana Scholarship
|The family of Delta-Beta Chapter alumnus Jerry Messana (’10) honors his life and memory with the Jerry Messana Scholarship. The purpose of the Jerry Messana Scholarship is to award a $400 scholarship to a recently initiated Delta-Beta Chapter brother representing a reimbursement of the new member and initiate fees he paid to join the Chapter. Eligible candidates are active, undergraduate students at Monmouth University in good academic standing at the time of application and who have successfully completed Delta-Beta Chapter’s new member education program. Applicants must have completed and passed all of the classes during the semester that they joined the Fraternity (any withdrawn classes will trigger a disqualification). Applicants will be required to submit a 60-second video, which touches on the importance of brotherhood, friendship, and family in the face of difficult times. The video should include at least one example of how someone who was going through their own struggles was there for the applicant during a difficult period of time. This scholarship was started in Fall 2020 by alumnus Brett Stevens (’08) and is also supported by Delta-Beta Chapter alumnus Andrew Grosso (’08).
